Philip is a rising senior at Le Moyne College, where he studies physics with a minor in math and a secondary education concentration. In addition, he is very involved in the campus community, such as being the vice president of student affairs, an active tour guide, a diversity ambassador, and an orientation team leader.

Philip says that being in the REU program has been an amazing experience. He is doing research on metacognition and what methodologies undergraduate researchers use to overcome obstacles in their work. Ultimately, his plan is to become a physics and math teacher to eventually become a superintendent. He feels that this experience will be instrumental as he pursues a PhD. in education.
