Deaf and hard-of-hearing RIT/NTID students will continue to benefit from enhanced educational and career opportunities in the environmental sciences, thanks to the extension of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between the college and the Environmental Protection Agency.

The limitations of telecommunication relay services are being addressed with the development of a new program that explores how to make deaf and hard-of-hearing users’ experiences with cellular devices truly equal to those of hearing users.

The Department of Performing Arts at NTID has named Jill Bradbury as chairperson and professor. Prior to her role, Bradbury was a member of the English department faculty at Gallaudet University. Administrators from NTID and a delegation from Changchun University in China signed a Memorandum of Understanding at a ceremony May 6 establishing a cultural and educational partnership between the two institutions.
