Bio
Lisa Chase, Ed.D. became vice president and secretary of the university in March 2020, reporting jointly to the president and the chair of the RIT Board of Trustees. She is responsible for the university’s official seal, charter, bylaws, and governance documents, working in collaboration with the board.
Prior to this role, Dr. Chase, (then-Dr. Cauda), served for 15 years as vice president of Development and Alumni Relations. In this role, she led the growing division of fundraisers and alumni professionals, along with the service providers, engaged in securing philanthropic support and alumni engagement across the university. She was instrumental in conceptualizing and launching the Transforming RIT: The Campaign for Greatness blended campaign.
Dr. Chase holds a BS in human resources from the University of Delaware, an MA in corporate and public communication from Seton Hall University, and an Ed.D. in higher education management from the University of Pennsylvania.
