Bio
Rob has been an adjunct instructor at Saunders College of Business, since 2009. He graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Arts, Photography from Rochester, Institute of Technology in 1981. After serving in the United States Navy as a, commissioned officer and Naval Aviator, Rob attended Wake Forest University MBA program, with a concentration in Marketing, graduating in 1992. He worked for a number of Fortune, 500 companies including Sara Lee, RJR/Nabisco, Brach Confections, Eastman Kodak, and, Constellation Brands in a variety of marketing, planning, product development, and, strategic planning roles.
An entrepreneur, in 2002 Vlosky founded Flowtonics, an, early pioneer firm in the field of photonic technology. Flowtonics was subsequently sold, to Impact Technology, a Rochester company that specialized in machine health monitoring, enabled by Department of Defense Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant funding. , Vlosky worked for a number of s!, tartup ventures in the Rochester area, specializing on strategic sales management,, medical device selling, and Augmented Reality eyewear for people with Macular Degenerative, eye disease.
In 2009, Vlosky brought his broad business experiences to RIT and the, Saunders College of Business, amassing a teaching portfolio of fourteen different courses, taught, including Study Abroad teaching in Croatia and Business Communications at the, RIT/Saunders Weihai China campus.
