We would like to congratulate the following ALANA students who have been elected to Student Government and ACA for the next academic year:

The ALANA Collegiate Association, or ACA is the Representative Student Organization for African, Latin, Asian, Native American students.

ACA serves as a liaison between the ALANA student body and RIT administration. ACA represents the ALANA constituency in Student Government, committed to fostering a sense of support and empowerment.  It takes teamwork and ACA would like to recognize the support from affiliates:

The MOCHA of the Year Award honors a member who demonstrates integrity, excellent leadership skills, and offers assistance to others. He works to create a sense of belonging and brotherhood.  What makes this honor so special is that it is made by his peers. 

The WOCHA of the Year Award is given to a member who has made increasingly significant contributions in the program, to her class, and represents the epitome of the WOCHA mission by helping others, exhibiting integrity, and intellectual, emotional, and social growth. What makes this honor so special is that it is made by her peers.

The Division of Diversity and Inclusion Student Beacon Awards recognize students who are leaders among their peers. They exhibit academic excellence and are advocates for diversity and inclusion using various forms of social engagement in all areas of RIT campus life. They all truly embody the depth and meaning behind the Beacon Award.
