2024 CS Colloquia Series Presents: "Computing Input Responsibility Scores in Black-Box Anomaly Detection"
by Tsuyoshi "Ide-San" Ide, PhD; IBM Research

Join us in GOL-1445 for Ide-San's Colloquium presentation on Tuesday, October 8th at 12:30pm where he'll address Explainable AI (XAI) and how it aims to address growing concerns regarding the black-box nature of deep learning models.
Pizza will be provided for attendees!

Dr. Tsuyoshi ("Ide-san") Ide is currently the head of data science for IBM Semiconductors at IBM Research. He received his Ph.D. in theoretical physics in 2000 from the University of Tokyo. After joining IBM Research - Tokyo, he shifted his research focus to data mining and machine learning. In 2013, he transferred to the T.J. Watson Research Center in New York. Dr. Ide is passionate about modeling real-world business problems using advanced machine learning techniques and has led numerous customer engagements. His recent research interests include anomaly detection and explanation, point process modeling of discrete events, and analytics of graph-structured data.
