Join RIT City Art Space for a conversation reflecting on its current exhibition, "Ana Mendieta: Elemental." Moderated by Gallery Director John Aasp, the panel discussion includes:
- Raquel Cecilia, filmmaker and associate administrator of the estate of the Ana Mendieta Collection
- Hernease Davis, assistant curator of education and public programs at Visual Studies Workshop
- Juilee Decker, Ph.D., professor and director of the museum studies program at RIT
The Zoom conversation is set for 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13. It is free and registration is required.
"Elemental" is a rare showing of films by late pioneering artist Ana Mendieta, whose work spanned photography, film, video, sculpture, performative action, earth-body works, and more; along with Raquel Cecilia Mendieta’s documentary film Nature Inside, narrated by Ana Mendieta.
