Deaf Wisdom: How Deaf People Shaped My Career
This presentation will cover Dan’s career trajectory beginning with his interpreter training at NTID in 1977, his move to San Francisco in the ‘80s, and the path that led him to become a video producer and establish a production company while continuously working as an interpreter in challenging environments. We will look at the impact of the Deaf people
in Dan’s life at the major decision points along his journey.

Dan Veltri holds a bachelor’s degree from RIT and a master’s degree from San Francisco State University. He is a freelance interpreter and the owner of Treehouse Video. He is married and lives in Pleasant Hill, California.
