Canandaigua Treaty Day
The Canandaigua Treaty Day will honor the historic 1794 treaty reaffirming peace and friendship between the Haudenosaunee Confederacy and the U.S. The ceremony will include the annual cloth distribution to the Six Nations.
At 2:00 PM, the Commemoration Ceremony will be held at the Ontario County Courthouse, 27 N. Main Street, Canandaigua, NY. Following the ceremony, participants can view the original treaty at the Ontario County Historical Society, 55 N. Main Street, Canandaigua, NY, until 4:00 PM.
Parking: Free public parking is available near the Ontario County Courthouse at the intersection of Ontario St & Pleasant St.
Transportation is provided and limited to the first five students that sign up. Departure Time is 10:00am from the RIT Sentinel.
