City of Contrasts/Campus of Contrasts Exhibit Opening
City of Contrast/Campus of Contrast: Revisiting 150 Years of Artistic Achievement at RIT
This exhibit showcases a collaborative effort between students in Museum Studies and Graphic Design, who worked together in the fall 2023 MUSE241: Art, Design, and Exhibition course to curate pieces from RIT Archives. The students in GRDE308 Experiential Graphic Design during the spring 2024, visualized the curation. Drawing from the RIT 150th Anniversary Art Show collection, originally curated by former CAD Dean Stanley Whitmeyer, the exhibit features artwork created by RIT students and faculty between 1891 and 1979. Join us for an opening event celebrating the students' curatorial work, where they will share their roles in bringing this project to life.
Date/Time: Thursday, October 3rd at 5:30pm
Location: Wallace Library, 3rd floor (RIT Museum)
