Cover Letter Writing for Graduate Students

The cover letter is an important component of your job application. This workshop will discuss what a cover letter is, why it is important, determining content, strategies for organization, and letter format.

Julian Huenerfauth from Career Services will help you craft your cover letter based on your experience and the position you are applying for. Along with the presentation, you will have the opportunity to work on your cover letter and get help and advice from RIT staff.

Bring your computer, your current CV or resume, and a sample job description that you are interested in applying to.

Snacks and coffee will provided to assist you in your writing!

This workshop is reserved for graduate students. Registration is required in Career Connect. Spots are limited.

Interpreting Services: Students are responsible for requesting interpreting services. To submit requests, visit https://myaccess.rit.edu.
