From the Declaration to Superman: Digitization and Digital Preservation at The Library of Congress
“The Library of Congress houses 164 million items in nearly all formats, languages, and subjects, making their collections the single most comprehensive accumulation of expression ever assembled. This includes the presidential papers of 23 presidents, ranging from George Washington to Calvin Coolidge; a perfect copy of the Gutenberg Bible; the world’s largest law library, copies of the Declaration of Independence and even the world’s largest comic book collection.
Come hear about Matt's role in digitizing these items and other items in our nation's collections and his efforts in making them available to all.
Matthew Breitbart is a Digital Imaging Specialist at The Library of Congress. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photojournalism and a Minor in Political Science from RIT in 2010.
