'Doomslayers' Opening Reception
In our contemporary era of doomscrolling, the world can often feel as if it’s spiraling toward dystopia, driven by dark forces in society, politics and nature. The artists in this group exhibition, "Doomslayers," present their own ways of staring down the doom. Using difficult, confrontational, or otherworldly imagery in their work, they wield darker themes as empowering forces.
An opening reception is set for 6-9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1, at RIT City Art Space. A First Friday bus shuttle will provide free transportation from campus to RIT City Art Space and back.
