Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences' PhD director will provide an overview of our PhD program. PhD research areas, curriculum themes, program of study and other program requirements will be discussed. The information session will also cover on how to apply to our PhD program, including application requirement, application timelines and application material.

This use-inspired basic research degree is designed to produce independent scholars, well-prepared educators and cutting-edge researchers poised to excel in their professional careers within disciplinary, interdisciplinary and trans-disciplinary environments in academia, government and industry. Although it is quite young among computing PhD programs, started in 2006, it has already gained national high reputation, as evidenced from reputation-based US News ranking and top-tier publication based CSRANKINGS.org ranking.
The Ph.D. Admissions Committee will review all completed applications submitted by December 31, 2022. After that date, applications will be reviewed on a space available basis. All decisions are expected to be made by April 15, 2023. In general, Fall Semester is the entry semester to begin study for the Ph.D. degree.
