About Our Panelists
Jeff Fasoldt
Jeff currently serves as our SVP, CFO & Treasurer. He has over 20 years of C-level Financial Executive experience and brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in accounting, finance, operations, information technology, facilities, project management, human resources, treasury, legal, mergers & acquisitions, and internal control to Preferred. He advanced his knowledge and expertise in the Finance and Information Systems field through executive leadership roles with Element K, Sutherland Global Services, Toshiba Business Solutions, Annese & Associates, and the DiMarco Group. Jeff has extensive experience in business transformation including improving company efficiencies and service levels and creating the infrastructure required for advanced stages of company growth.
He is a highly regarded and active business and community leader and has been recognized for his outstanding executive and financial work including being honored as the Rochester Financial Executive of the Year in 2011 and as the 2022 RIT Outstanding Business Leader. Jeff serves on the board of Greater Rochester Habitat for Humanity and Campus Auxiliary Services at Geneseo and is past Board Chair of Catholic Charities of Livingston County and past President of the Rochester chapter of Financial Executives International. He was an adjunct instructor of accounting at Geneseo for 15 years. Jeff also serves on the corporate board of the Cooley Group, an employee owned promotional products and branded apparel company headquarted in Rochester, NY.
Jeff received a BS in Accounting from SUNY Geneseo, and an MBA from the Saunders College of Business at the Rochester Institute of Technology. His professional licenses include Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA),and Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). In addition, Jeff is currently pursuing the Charted Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.
Karuna Mukherjea
Karuna Mukherjea is an accomplished marketing leader with over 20 years of experience driving growth for enterprise software companies. Currently the CMO of MuleSoft, a Salesforce company. Prior to that she held key leadership roles at top organizations like Workato, SAP and Oracle, where she led product marketing and developed successful go-to-market strategies.
Her expertise spans product marketing, demand generation, and analyst relations. Karuna is passionate about creating impactful content and thought leadership that engages target audiences.
In addition to her corporate career, Karuna is dedicated to community service. She serves on the Saunders College of Business National Council at RIT, advising the Dean on strategic initiatives and helping shape the future of marketing education.
Reuben Zielinski
Reuben Zielinski graduated from SUNY Alfred in 1982 with an A.A.S. in E.E.T., RIT in 1985 with a B.S.E.E., RPI in 1989 with a M.S.M.E., and back to RIT in 1996 with an EMBA (Class II). Reuben spent 13 years in IBM in various engineering, management, and sales roles. Reuben pivoted in 1997 and went into medical devices and pharmaceuticals, working for Fortune 100 companies as well as startups. Reuben rose to the executive ranks of VP and GM before looking to do something on his own. Having an affinity for startups, Reuben co-founded Redux with his neighbor and is currently the President. Redux makes vacuum dryers for smart phones, tablets, and hearing aids. Redux developed and patented the drying membership system and have their dryers installed in 2700 Verizon stores and has sold over 4 million memberships to date and approximately 4000 hearing aid dryers. Reuben has over 70 product and process patents in various industries he has worked in. He enjoys learning new skills and developing products with his co-workers, his medical doctor son, and a few of his sons friends. Reuben’s greatest achievement is maintaining a well-balanced career while raising a family and staying happily married for 37 years. Reuben remains active at RIT, having a voice in both the National Business Council as well as the Presidents Roundtable.
