Luvon Sheppard 'Jubilee' Exhibition at RIT City Art Space
RIT City Art Space presents a solo exhibition of recent and classic work by a trailblazer of art, education and community collaboration, School of Art Professor Luvon Sheppard.
The show, "Jubilee," highlights just a few examples of Sheppard’s work as an artist. It includes a selection of his signature watercolor paintings, natural landscape paintings done en plein air and his most recent works, made by the act of tearing and cutting fragments of his own watercolor paintings which are then reassembled into mixed-media collages.
The exhibition opens on First Friday, Nov. 5 (6-9 p.m.), and runs through Dec. 19. RIT City Art Space (280 East Main St. Rochester, NY 14604) is open 1-9 p.m. on Fridays and 1-5 p.m. Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Face masks are required.
A gallery talk with Sheppard is also scheduled for 6 p.m., Friday, Nov. 12.
