Time: 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Location: College of Liberal Arts LBR-A205 Lecture Hall, RIT
Join us for a special screening of Killers of the Flower Moon, a powerful film directed by Martin Scorsese that explores the true story of the Osage Nation murders in the 1920s and the birth of the FBI. Set against the backdrop of a dark chapter in American history, the film delves into themes of greed, justice, and Indigenous resilience.
After the screening, we will have a brief discussion to reflect on the film’s significance and its connection to contemporary Indigenous issues. This event offers a meaningful opportunity to engage with the complex narratives of Native American history and foster a deeper understanding of Indigenous experiences.
This screening is open to all RIT students, faculty, and staff.
*Killers of the flower moon contains mature themes, including violence, racism, and historical trauma related to the Osage Nation murders. viewer discretion is advised.
*Interpreting services have been requested for the discussion at the end of the film.
