Pop-up Exhibit Showcases Rochester Revitalization
As part of the Current Seen initiative to bring together local and national artists, RIT City Art Space is hosting a pop-up exhibition curated by School of Art adjunct faculty Cecily Culver ’12 (Fine Arts Studio). The exhibit, “Best Foot Forward,” is inspired by the revitalization of Rochester’s downtown, featuring artists that resonate with the importance of building walkable cities.
It will run the entirety of Current Seen, from Oct. 4 to Nov. 17. An opening reception will be held from 6-9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4. Artists in the show are Roberley Bell (School of Photographic Arts and Sciences professor), Kyle Butler, Meredith Drum, Angela Ellsworth, Estrella Esquilín, Mikey Foster Estes, Neil Goldberg, Adam Krawesky, Nick Marshall (Photography and Related Media MFA alumnus), Ray Ray Mitrano and Oyster City Project.
RIT City Art Space is one of the venues participating in Current Seen, a biennial contemporary art program that supports new curatorial voices and artists through a centrally located thread of small and mid-sized venues in downtown Rochester.
