The Psi Chi chapter at RIT was awarded the 2022-23 Chapter Activity Grant to host a special speaker event on the "Applications of Psychological Research". Dr. Rebecca Ashare from University at Buffalo will be presenting her ongoing research on cannabis use for symptom and pain management. Dr. Ashare will speak on the direct applications of her research on patient quality of life and the broader applications like addressing racial disparities in cancer pain relief and disseminating cannabis education.
