Q & A: Queer and Anxious
Do you identify within the LGBTQ+ community? Do you also struggle with anxiety like so many of us? Join this in-person 3 session workshop (3 consecutive weeks) hosted at the Q Center to learn more about the anxiety you experience and develop skills to help you to manage this.
This workshop has 3 modules dedicated to: 1) understanding anxiety, 2) introducing a method for slowing down and disentangling the experience of anxiety, and 3) developing alternative responses to anxiety. By the end of the workshop, you will have your own individualized plan for managing anxiety. This section of Anxiety toolbox will be facilitated by Conner, Burry, (he/him, they/them) a CaPS therapist who is embedded at the Q Center along with graduate student counseling intern, Faith Welsford, (she/her), who have unique connection and insights into the LGBTQ+ community.
Note: This 60-minute workshop will be offered over 3 consecutive weeks (11/3, 11/10, 11/17). Please commit to attending all 3 sessions. Interpreters available upon request. Workshops will be IN-PERSON unless otherwise indicated.
