RIT-Rochester Prep Capstone Showcase
Rochester Prep High School students involved in this year's capstone program will be holding a formal presentation regarding their research. About 15 students have been working with RIT faculty, such as Dr. Hudson, Dr. Uche, Dr. Hittinger and members of the WISe -- Women in Science -- program to learn more about STEM fields of study. This is the first year RIT's K-12 University Center has fully facilitated the program -- scheduling capstone classes; organizing transportation; working closely with Rochester Prep faculty, staff and students; and helping prepare students for the final showcase in February. Students have been learning a plethora of STEM-related topics, such as chemical engineering, antibiotic resistance, bacteria and viruses, math, life science, biology and physics, energy and science related to public policy.
