Summer DEI Film Series
The 2022 DEI Summer Film Series celebrates the dedication and perseverance of groups and individuals in the advancement of civil rights for all. This summer we invite RIT faculty and staff to watch three documentaries about the civil rights movements for Asian Americans, people with disabilities, and the LGBTQIA community on their own time, and then join us for in-person facilitated dialogues to discuss what you’ve learned and how it impacts your work towards equity and inclusion.
You may register for any or all, but seats for each in-person meetings are limited to the first 40 participants. If a session is full, you will still have access to the film, but not to the meeting.
This film series is for RIT faculty and staff who are already participating in DEI learning and initiatives, and who want to learn more about the history of civil rights in the U.S. This series is provided through the personal efforts of several RIT members as a casual, but eye-opening, summer experience. Participation does not count towards any certificates or provide CEUs.
These are scheduled for the lunch hour but food will not be provided. Please bring your lunch! Interpreters will be requested if needed.
