Talk and Portfolio Review with Caitlin Yarsky '08 (Illustration)
Caitlin Yarsky '08 (illustration) is an illustrator whose career started in game design at Workinman Interactive. She did many art and music projects in Rochester, N.Y., as well, including a mural for WALL\THERAPY. Later she went freelance and got into comics, starting with her first published series, Coyotes, written by Sean Lewis, at Image Comics.
She then went on to draw another Image Comics series with Lewis called Bliss, and has done numerous covers for Titan, Dark Horse, Image, Boom! Studios, and even wrote/drew a short story for Boom!’s Buffy: Generations series. She is currently working on a series called Black Hammer Reborn with Jeff Lemire and lives in Portland, Ore.
Yarsky is leading an on-campus discussion and portfolio review from 1-3 p.m. Friday, April 1, in Booth Hall, 3510.
