About Burton Kramer
Burton Kramer is generally acknowledged as one of Canada's outstanding graphic designers. Kramer is actively involved also as a painter and is currently exhibiting his paintings at the University Gallery at RIT.
My Design Evolution
The focus of Burton Kramer's presentation is on his extensive career as a leading graphic designer. Born in 1932, Kramer began working in the late 1950s for Will Burtin. He moved to Toronto in late 1965 and his work was prominent at Expo 67. He has work featured in the Smithsonian Institution and the Library of Congress. He is well known for his distinctive 1974 Canadian Broadcasting Corporation logo. In 1967 he founded Kramer Design Associates Limited, a multi-media firm specializing in corporate programs, signage systems and print. For 20 years he was adjunct professor at the Ontario College of Art and Design.
