Vignelli Center Lecture: Chuck Cerankosky

The Vignelli Center for Design Studies presents Chuck Cerankosky, a distinguished designer and 2003 alumnus of the RIT industrial design program, for its Design Conversations lecture series. The talk is set for 5:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30, in MAGIC Spell Studios' Wegmans Theater. 

About Chuck Cerankosky

Known for his creative vision and entrepreneurial spirit, Cerankosky is a co-owner of the renowned restaurants Good Luck, Cure, Jackrabbit Club, Radio Social and Lucky's, as well as the cocktail bar Martine.

He is also the founder of the Rochester Cocktail Revival, a celebrated week-long festival that showcases the region’s cocktails and bars, just having finished its 11th year. Under his leadership, Good Luck earned a spot on Esquire magazine's list of the 18 Best Bars in America in 2016 and was recognized by the Rochester Business Journal as one of the top fine-dining restaurants in the region. Radio Social was recently named by USA Today as one of the best bars in the United States in 2024.

Cerankosky's design expertise extends beyond his own businesses to include contributions to prominent projects such as The Meatball Shop and Seamore’s in New York City, as well as local establishments like Boxcar Doughnuts, Frog Pond, Boomtown Table, and Java’s. With a dedication to excellence and innovation, he oversees a team of approximately 130 employees, continually shaping the culinary and design landscapes with his work.
