World of Wonder welcomes Dr. Lorne Farovitch!
Please join us for World of Wonder in Science series as we welcome Dr. Lorne Farovitch. Dr. Farovitch will be presenting “A fruitful Odyssey through the Worlds of Basic Science and Population Health.” Dr. Lorne Farovitch is a Deaf infectious disease epidemiologist with records of successful research projects, response to public health emergencies, community engagements, and developing more inclusive and accessible services for marginalized populations. Dr. Farovitch earned his doctoral degree in Translational Biomedical Science from the University of Rochester Medical Center, and works as a surveillance and epidemiology COVID-19 data analyst at the New York City Department of Health. He was born to a Deaf family with strong Deaf culture and attended Gallaudet University, RIT, and URMC.
