Students Show Off Their Games at National Game Developers Conference and PAX East

13 Students and Alumni Among Winners at International Motion Design Competition
A total of 13 RIT students and recent alumni were part of solo or group projects to finish as winners and finalists in several categories of MODE Fest 2023, a celebration of student and emerging motion designers making imaginative work, as reviewed by renowned industry professionals and respected academics.
Lecturer Takes Interactive Media to New Levels with Holographic Comics
Jake Adams, a lecturer in RIT’s School of Interactive Games and Media, created the first ever digital holographic comic by mixing his background in fine arts and interactive media to create his holocomics. Using a specialized Lightfield holographic display from the company Looking Glass, the comic books become 3D holograms with sound, animation, and interactivity.
