RIT part of National Science Foundation Grant to Help Spur Next-Generation Lasers
Rochester Institute of Technology is among a group of area higher-education and industry partners sharing a $1 million Regional Innovation Engines Development Award grant from the National Science Foundation to help boost the next generation of lasers.
RIT Astrophysicist Puts Students First While Researching the Origins of Thousands of Galaxies
Associate Professor Jeyhan Kartaltepe has her hands full studying data from the most powerful observational instrument ever made, the James Webb Space Telescope, while continuing to bolster her reputation as a teacher and mentor. Her work has gotten the attention of the astronomy community worldwide.
RIT Researcher Receives Award to Advance Study of Cortical Blindness
Gabriel Diaz, associate professor in the Chester F. Carlson Center for Imaging Science, has earned the Research to Prevent Blindness/Lions Clubs International Foundation Low Vision Research Award (LVRA), in collaboration with researchers at the University of Rochester. The annual award provides funding for innovative research that demonstrates out-of-the-box thinking, focuses on the visual system that is damaged, and seeks greater understanding of how the visual system and brain respond to severe and chronic visual loss.
