Ultrasound Scanning Suite

To remain a leader in educating technically sound sonographers, the diagnostic medical sonography program emphasizes not only on the didactic aspect of learning, but also the practical, hands-on, clinical aspect. The Ultrasound Scanning Suite is a modern laboratory equipped with state-of-the-art ultrasound equipment that offers our students the opportunity to apply their theoretical understanding of the fundamentals covered in lectures. Students are able to enhance their ultrasound skills and techniques in the Ultrasound Scanning Suite. The suite is operated by our faculty members, who provide superior, clinically relevant education and hands-on experience to our students prior to their clinical internships. The suite is available:

• During scheduled labs–Students have access to the lab and equipment and are provided with assistance and instruction by one or more faculty members. These faculty members also observe demonstrations of assigned lab work and provide technical assistance.
• 24/7–Students have unlimited card-swipe access to the lab 24-hours-a-day, 7-days-a-week to refine their skills and practice their scanning techniques.
