Custodial Services

Our custodial staff is responsible for the routine cleaning of campus buildings and residence halls. This includes cleaning of bathrooms, trash removal, dusting, vacuuming, shampooing of carpets, and cleaning of public area furniture. Additional services are provided at a charge to the requestor.

The Rochester Institute of Technology Recycling Program exists to actively promote proper materials management on campus through reuse, recycling, waste minimization, and other environmentally responsible processes. The program strives to develop solutions, initiatives, and educational programs that encourage sustainable behavior throughout the university in order to facilitate change in our global community. For information about waste reduction strategies, metrics, and all other campus sustainability initiatives visit the Sustainable Campus website.

A key component of RIT’s recycling efforts is our mixed recycling program. It is not necessary to sort recyclables: all can be placed in a single bin. Please visit the Recycling and Waste website for more information.
