AACSB Accreditation Extension Earned

Rochester Institute of Technology’s Saunders College of Business earned extended accreditation by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International, the premier accrediting organization for business schools worldwide. Saunders College was one of 38 business schools to receive this extended accreditation in business in April 2020.

With more than 16,000 schools offering business degrees at the bachelor’s level or higher, less than five percent of institutions have received this recognition. The College initially achieved this distinction and honor in 1988 and has been reaffirmed several times, now most recently in 2020.

“I am extremely proud of the exceptional quality of our Saunders College programs, faculty, staff, and students - as recognized by AACSB,”  said Jacqueline Mozrall, Saunders College dean. “This reaccreditation also acknowledges the execution of our innovative mission as a business school that effectively integrates business, technology and design thinking.” 

To maintain accreditation, Saunders must demonstrate continuous improvement and pass a periodic, rigorous assessment of program quality by AACSB International. This recognition provides students with the tools needed to become successful in their careers as well as providing an opportunity to continue education at the postgraduate level.

Saunders College is providing several COVID-19 responses, including:

• Deposit deadline for undergraduate programs extended to June 1
• GMAT/GRE scores waived for all graduate programs, for fall 2020 starts
