RIT Barnes and Nobles hosts event for World Book Night April 23rd

Do you have any of these used books on the shelf of your office or home?

Blood Work, The History of Love, The Lovely Bones, My Sister’s Keeper, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings.

RIT Libraries is organizing a book drive with Barnes & Noble @ RIT in honor of World Book Night. They are accepting donations through April 20 of new or gently read books from the RIT community that will be donated to Rochester City Schools.

“This is the first time this event is happening in the U.S.,” says Margaret Bartlett, senior manager of information services for research and instruction at The Wallace Center. “Last year was the first time in Europe and now it has expanded to the U.S. There are drop off points both here in The Wallace Center and Barnes & Noble @ RIT.”

World Book Night is an annual celebration designed to spread a love of reading and books. This year, it will be held in the U.S. as well as the United Kingdom and Ireland on April 23. More than a million books will be given out across the U.S.
