Ebmeyer, Dholabhai publish on ionic conductivity at oxide interfaces

William Ebmeyer ’23 (physics), and Pratik Dholabhai, associate professor in the School of Physics and Astronomy, along with collaborators from Los Alamos National Laboratory, published “Influence of misfit dislocations on ionic conductivity at oxide interfaces” in the Journal of Materials Chemistry A. They developed a kinetic lattice Monte Carlo model to study fundamental mechanisms for ionic diffusion in thin film electrolytes for solid oxide fuel cells and to facilitate their future design.
