Engineering, Exploration and Experimentation Fair Opens April 27
Event for local middle school students showcases engineering challenges, career opportunities
The next generation of engineers, scientists and innovators are among today’s elementary and middle school students.
More than 500 students from local middle schools will participate in the 2011 Engineering, Exploration and Experimentation Technology Fair, an interactive series of exhibits and hands-on presentations related to engineering and science.
The event, co-sponsored by the Rochester Engineering Society and Rochester Institute of Technology, will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 27 in the Clark Gymnasium on the RIT campus. The fair, founded in 1991, showcases student projects and robotics challenges. Demonstrations by area engineering professionals and RIT’s student engineering societies will also take place.
The event is free and open to the public.
