Maggie Wilderotter, chairman and chief executive officer of Frontier Communications, will deliver the keynote address for the Executive Leaders Network Luncheon sponsored by the E. Philip Saunders College of Business at Rochester Institute of Technology. The event will be held on Sept. 15—with the networking/luncheon/keynote address beginning at 11:30 a.m. at the Genesee Valley Club, 421 East Ave.

“Maggie Wilderotter is a veteran of the communications industry who has learned each aspect of the business—customer service, operations and general management,” says Ashok Rao, dean of the Saunders College. “She grew Frontier into a Fortune 500 company and is a role model for women in a technology-heavy field. Today she ranks as one of the country’s most powerful and respected women in business.”

Wilderotter joined Frontier Communications (formerly known as Citizens Communications) in 2004. Before Frontier, she served as an executive for McCaw Cellular (later AT&T Wireless) and Microsoft. She serves on the boards of Yahoo! Inc. and Xerox Corp., and was named one of the Fifty Most Powerful Women in Business in 2009 by Fortune magazine.

The luncheon event is not open to the public. For more information, contact Dana Pierce at 585-475-2199 or dpierce@saunders.rit.edu.
