Keeping an eye on live election results
RIT hosts viewing party in Student Innovation Hall
More than 90 million Americans were expected to head to the polls Nov. 6.
Students and members of the Rochester Institute of Technology community will gather to watch live election coverage. Doors open at 6 p.m. Nov. 6 in Student Innovation Hall of the Student Services Center on the RIT campus.
Early results from around the U.S. are expected to start coming in around 9 p.m. RIT organizers hope to make the viewing party a collaborative and innovative one. People are encouraged to blog, create apps and games about the political process.
The event is sponsored by the Lab for Technological Literacy, the Department of Political Science and the Simone Center for Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
