Master Designers Massimo Vignelli and George Lois Lead Intimate Workshop at RIT

World-renowned master designers Massimo Vignelli and George Lois will host a unique workshop July 28 at RIT’s Vignelli Center for Design Studies.

Two pioneers in international design and advertising will host a unique workshop July 28 at Rochester Institute of Technology’s Vignelli Center for Design Studies.

World-renowned master designers Massimo Vignelli and George Lois will lead an intimate discussion as part of a weeklong design workshop, being held through July 31.

Vignelli and Lois currently have their collections on display at the university.

Vignelli designed the New York City Subway map, the American Airlines logo and the National Park Service maps. Pieces from his collection are on permanent display at RIT’s Vignelli Center for Design Studies.

Lois is the former art director of Esquire Magazine—designing the magazine’s cover from 1962-1972. The collection is also on display at the adjacent University Gallery.

The event kicks off at 7 p.m. July 28 with a reception and is not open to the public but will be open for media. The discussion begins at 8 p.m.
