MFA Solo Exhibit at SPAS Gallery Sept. 7
RIT’s School for Photographic Arts and Sciences presents a solo exhibition, “Tractatus,” by MFA candidate Rodrigo Gonzalo. The show opens at 5 p.m. Sept. 7 and runs through Sept. 21 at the SPAS Gallery in Frank E. Gannett Hall.
Gonzalo says his work moves toward conceptuality from an understanding of the photograph as document. “ ‘Tractatus’ is built around an analysis of these two intertwined phenomena and its conception is based on two foundations: to analyze the functioning of the photographic medium and to investigate the recognition of signs and their construction of meaning in our visual culture.”
