RIT Baja racing team wins first place overall in return to onsite competitions
RIT Racing won first place overall at Baja SAE racing this past weekend in Tucson, Arizona, after a year of virtual competitions. Taking top five placements in the sled pull, suspension, maneuverability, and a top 20 placement in acceleration, the team placed second in the endurance race.

RIT Libraries moves to temporary home in Ritter Arena
RIT Libraries will move to the Frank Ritter Ice Arena for the duration of construction on the Student Hall for Exploration and Development, or “the SHED.” The multi-use space is expected to open in 2023 and will include extensive renovations to Wallace Library.

RIT has an understated new name for a high-tech complex that will soon centralize the university’s makerspace and performing arts. RIT announced on Friday that the facility currently under construction will officially be called the Student Hall for Exploration and Development, or simply “the SHED.”

Open@RIT Fellowship Program supports faculty and staff open projects
RIT’s open programs office has established a fellowship program to support faculty and staff with their work in the open community. Twenty-one projects have been selected from across the university for open work in everything from game development to ASL linguistics.
