RIT student video game wins Best in Show at Boston Festival of Indie Games
The Gristmill, a digital card game created by RIT students, won Best in Show and Best Student Game at the Boston Festival of Indie Games, held Sept. 14. To win the top prize, the RIT game beat out more than 40 selected digital games, including indie projects created by professionals.

RIT Men’s Hockey finds new home for TV, streaming broadcasts
RIT Men’s Hockey fans will have new ways to watch games during the 2019-2020 season. The team’s 17 regular season home games will be aired live locally on WBGT my18 and all games hosted by Atlantic Hockey teams will be available to stream via FloHockey.tv.

Live, from the Gene Polisseni Center, it’s RIT Hockey Media Day! RIT SportsZone is hosting the free, open event at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, in the arena. Tiger Hockey fans will get a preview of the season through featured interviews with men’s and women’s team coaches and players, as well as Lou Spiotti Jr., executive director of intercollegiate athletics at RIT.

Student Spotlight: Making discoveries abroad with NTID
Looking to learn more about the roots of American deaf culture, fourth-year student Grace Bradford went on a study abroad trip to France. From June 24 to July 4, the ASL/English interpretation and School of Individualized Study double major traveled with other NTID students to Paris, Reims, La Balme-les-Grottes and Lyon.
