Chemist turns hobby into full-time business
Despite having earned a Ph.D. in chemistry, Amanda Preske ’09 has put her career as a researcher on hold to commit herself full time to her jewelry business, Circuit Breaker Labs, through which she crafts and sells pieces made from recycled circuit boards and resin. -

Students provide 3D-printed arm to teen in Rwanda
Laura Alderfer and Ken Postel, both undergraduate students in RIT’s Kate Gleason College of Engineering, traveled to Rwanda to deliver a 3D-printed prosthetic arm after spending the fall semester designing, printing and testing it for a 19-year-old boy in Rwanda. -
