Overby publishes essay on Black community care
Katrina Overby, assistant professor in the School of Communication, published “Back to Our Roots: Reclaiming Black Community Care in a Digital World” in Hope+Wellth. The magazine focuses on holistic health and wellness, and uplifting and empowering BIPOC women.

Inspired by teachers, RIT grad opens music studio to teach others
The studio opened in 2022 on the third floor of the Piano Works building in East Rochester. There is an array of instruments and a recording studio that has a capability of recording 32 tracks at a time. Several of the teachers there are RIT alumni.
