PAETEC Manufacturing Director Presents Talk on Fostering Innovation
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Jeff Pink addresses global manufacturing strategies
Are Americans predisposed to be innovative?
Jeffrey Pink, director of manufacturing at PAETEC, will answer this question and others at a lecture, “Innovate or be Innovated,” at 2 p.m. March 17 in the Golisano College auditorium at Rochester Institute of Technology. Pink, a computer engineer and expert in Lean Six Sigma process improvements, will discuss Americans as innovators and how individuals can foster innovation in business.
The lecture is free and open to the public.
Pink’s expertise includes manufacturing, program management and Lean Six Sigma process improvements. At PAETEC, he is responsible for product manufacturing, product quality and strategic sourcing. His focus area is Voice over IP small business telecommunication products.
Early in his professional career, Pink joined Eastman Kodak Co. as a technical program manager for digital imaging, and later worked for Xerox Global Services as the software development manager for a new document publishing system.
A graduate of RIT, Pink received a master of science degree in computer engineering from the Kate Gleason College of Engineering. He currently serves on RIT's Industrial Advisory Board for the computer engineering technology program and is a senior section chair of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Society.
