    Re|verb, a group exhibition of work by faculty David Schnuckel, Suzanne Peck, Lydia Martin and John Shea, opened with a reception Sept. 6 at the RIT City Art Space downtown. The exhibit is on view through September 22.

    RIT/NTID students gather in the Frisina Quad for the annual Applefest. The event is hosted by the National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID) Student Life Team and welcomes students and faculty to campus by providing apples, apple treats, entertainment and information booths for clubs and organizations.

    Construction is underway for a new playground at Margaret’s House, RIT’s day care facility for over 20 years. The educational play areas will include a cycle track, water runnel, hill slide, birds nest swing, monkey village climber, sandbox and gathering area. The play environment is designed to encourage growth and discovery. Completion is expected late fall 2019.

    Josephine Bensa, a third-year ultrasound student from Hartford, Conn., sorts through items at the Goodbye, Goodbuy! sale. Students looking for items for their residence halls are urged to visit the popular Goodbye, Goodbuy! sustainability sale, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Frank Ritter Memorial Ice Area through Friday. The sale offers literally tons of items at thrift store prices collected from students who moved out in the spring including clothing, furniture, appliances, school supplies, electronics and more.

Her sister Rachel and mother Christine attended the Resource Fair with her to learn about RIT departments and their offerings. The New Student Orientation Resource Fair, held in the Gordon Field House August 20, provided information regarding resources and services at RIT and in the community.
