RIT’s Vocal Accent, an all-female a cappella group, performed a spring concert in Ingle Auditorium. The ensemble is one of many student performance groups on campus that have seasonal concerts.

Brenda Lee, RIT’s 2018 Frederick H. Minett Professor, shared advice and lessons learned throughout her 39 years as a medical educator and medical school administrator with the RIT community on Wednesday. In her role as Minett Professor, Lee aims to help prepare RIT students who wish to continue their studies at medical school with the admissions process and mentor student groups including Women of Color, Honor and Ambition (WOCHA). Before joining RIT, she served appointments at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine, Harvard Medical School and the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. Her talk was the first installment of the 2018 Division of Diversity & Inclusion Speaker Series.

A federally funded pilot program developed by Rochester Institute of Technology professors allows eligible participants to stretch their nutrition-assistance benefits when they buy fresh vegetables at designated Foodlink Curbside Market locations and select Wegmans stores. RIT President David Munson presents Mark Strzyzynski, chief of the Henrietta Fire District, with a check for providing fire protection service to the campus. The university’s voluntary contribution included $35,000 to support the district’s annual operating budget and $40,000 to assist in the purchase of a new ladder firetruck. The Henrietta Fire District is responsible for protection of the 1,300-acre RIT campus.
