Postdoctoral researcher, College of Science faculty members explore how physics students navigate research
Mike Verostek, a postdoctoral researcher, Casey Miller, senior associate dean, and Ben Zwickl, associate professor, College of Science, had their article recognized as an Editors’ Suggestion by Physical Review Physics Education Research. Their work, titled “Modeling when and how physics Ph.D. students search for a research group: The role of interests and prior research experiences in timely group integration,” explores how physics graduate students navigate their research interests while seeking a research group.

Students find tiger pride in the RIT Archives
Students in the museum studies course, Critical and Digital Curation, used the archives to explore the origin of the RIT tiger mascot in 1955. Their exhibit shines a light on 1963, when RIT students brought a tiger cub to campus, parties, and hockey games.
