Randi Zuckerberg headlines Gasser lecture series
Zuckerberg Media CEO shares insights on the digital age and trends impacting business
Randi Zuckerberg is a businesswoman who has explored every creative social medium imaginable during her skyrocketing career.
She is founder and CEO of Zuckerberg Media, two New York Times bestselling author of Dot Complicated: Untangling Our Wired Lives and childrens book DOT, host of ‘Dot Complicated’ on SiriusXM, editor in chief of digital lifestyle destination DotComplicated.co and recently guest-starred as Regina Koontz in “Rock of Ages” on Broadway. Formerly, Randi served as Director of Marketing at Facebook. Her most important and favorite job is mom; she currently lives in New York City with her husband, Brent, and sons Asher and Simi.
Zuckerberg is the keynote speaker at the Saunders College of Business Gasser Lecture Series at Rochester Institute of Technology on Oct. 16, during the university’s 2015 Brick City Homecoming & Family Weekend. She will deliver her address, “Entrepreneurship: Ten Exciting Trends Impacting Your Business Right Now,” at 4 p.m. at the Student Alumni Union’s Ingle Auditorium. The event is open to the public, and followed by a booksigning and reception in the Saunders College Atrium, Lowenthal Hall.
Believe it or not, the tech-savvy marketer has some unexpected advice: Zuckerberg makes it her mission to help others balance the use of digital media and devices in our technology-driven lives.
“There are so many exciting trends that are impacting businesses today,” says Zuckerberg. “I am thrilled to share them with current and former RIT students and families during such a special weekend.”
Saunders College Dean Jacqueline Mozrall anticipates Zuckerberg’s business perspectives will resonate with students, their families and the Rochester community. “As an entrepreneur who has been on the front lines of social media, she understands the impact technology has made in our lives and every sector of the business world.”
The William D. Gasser lecture series is hosted annually by Saunders College of Business and is designed to advance interaction and dialogue between business and academic communities. It is made possible by a gift from the late John Wiley Jones, former honorary member of the RIT Board of Trustees and founder of Jones Chemicals Inc., in memory of William D. Gasser. Gasser taught accounting at RIT from 1967 until his death in 1977.
All seating is general admission and a ticket is required. Doors open at 3 p.m.
