Report highlights innovation at Wallace Center

RIT’s 2012-2013 annual report recaps The Wallace Center’s efforts over the last academic year in four key areas: facilitating discovery, technology, scholarship and community.

Renovations that made for a brighter, more comfortable space and increased seating by 40 percent.

Improved access and additions to important collections, plus new resources for faculty.

New technologies, as well as programs that helped hundreds of students with their study and research — all in a facility that hosted nearly 3,000 visitors each day.

New publications by RIT Press and new open access journals launched by the Scholarship Publishing Studio.

Those are the highlights cited in The Wallace Center at RIT’s 2012-2013 annual report. The 22-page report recaps the center’s efforts over the last academic year in four key areas.

“Our core mission is focused on facilitating discovery, technology, scholarship and community,” said Lynn Wild, associate provost for Faculty Career Development and The Wallace Center. “This past year was one of change, and reliance on those values was central to the work we did, as we engaged faculty, staff and students in making The Wallace Center an academic center of excellence for our university community.”

The report, available online, also lists the awards, scholarship, teaching and service of Wallace Center staff.
