RIT Appoints VanGelder to Board of Trustees

Kim VanGelder

Rochester Institute of Technology has appointed a new member to its Board of Trustees. The appointment of Kim VanGelder was announced during the November board meeting.

VanGelder is chief information officer and vice president at Eastman Kodak Co. Since joining Kodak in 1984, VanGelder has held a variety of positions in information technology, including director of information technology for Kodak’s Research and Development organization. In her current position, she is responsible for the management and allocation of the company’s IT resources. In 2011, she assumed the additional role of director, worldwide customer operations.

VanGelder graduated from RIT in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics. She is a member of the Dean’s Council for RIT’s B. Thomas Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences and the President’s Roundtable, the SUNY Brockport Advisory Council and the Board of Directors of the Rochester Area Community Foundation. She lives in Spencerport, N.Y.

The Board of Trustees has 57 active members, including 27 who are alumni.
