RIT to host World Remanufacturing Conference this June
We are proud to be hosting the RIC-RIT World Remanufacturing Conference, a two-day event in which remanufacturing leaders can learn and discuss the most salient topics in the industry. Over 100 remanufacturing industry leaders have registered to attend, ensuring a singular opportunity to collaborate for the global improvement of the industry.
The conference, hosted in partnership with the Remanufacturing Industries Council (RIC), will feature a key note by Sam Allen, CEO of John Deere, and discussions led by remanufacturing experts, including Jack Stack, CEO and Founder of SRC Holdings Corporation, and our own Dr. Nabil Nasr, Director of the Golisano Institute for Sustainability and CEO of the REMADE Institute.
The two-day conference will present on principal areas of change in the industry, including:
- the new REMADE Manufacturing USA Institute, a public private partnership that will mature the state of promising remanufacturing technologies
- the Remanufacturing Roadmap, a recently completed government report focusing on strategies to improve reman capabilities and competitiveness
- the new ANSI standard for remanufacturing, which will help remanufactured products maintain a consistent high quality image
The remanufacturing industry is undergoing some very exciting changes, and this conference will offer industry professionals a "one-stop-shop" to get up to speed on all the issues and opportunities. “This is the premiere event for the industry.” Dr. Nabil Nasr, who is recognized as a doyen of remanufacturing and led the organization of the event, has expressed the importance of this event for the reman industry. “You will get information at this event that you won’t get anywhere else.”
The two-day conference will be held on June 21-22 in Rochester, NY, with the option of two high quality pre-conference short courses on June 20 and a post-conference tour of two major remanufacturing operations at Xerox and EWASTE+ on June 23.
